A Handy Add-On for the GRS-16, MTR-18 and PTR-18

Compatible with our GRS-16 and GRS-16 PE Guide Rail Squares along with MTR-18 and PTR-18 Precision Triangles, the Angle Accessory extends the usefulness of your tools. When used with the GRS-16 or GRS-16 PE, the angle tool effectively extends the reference edge of your square to address challenging applications. When used with the MTR-18 or PTR-18, the aluminium angle attachment can be clamped to square the interior of a cabinet or confirm squareness in many different glue-up/assembly scenarios.

GRS Family: Extend the Reference Edge

If you frequently cut workpieces with edge details like chamfers, radii or other profiles, you may find the reference edge of the guide rail square isn't quite thick enough to rest against the true edge of your workpiece. To solve this dilemma economically, we've created a simple solution: a precision aluminium angle that attaches to the accessory mounting holes on our GRS-16 and GRS-16 PE guide rail squares. Once attached, the effective thickness of the guide rail square is extended to 1-7/8" (47.6 mm) thick and the effective reference edge length extends up to 21.7" (552 mm), allowing you to quickly achieve accurate cuts on otherwise difficult-to-square workpieces.

MTR-18 and PTR-18 Triangles: Use as Clamping Angles

Transform your MTR-18 or PTR-18 Precision Triangle into a large, extremely accurate clamping square by adding two Angle Accessories. Easily square a cabinet during glue-up, or hold a miter joint or butt joint at a perfect 90 degrees. Once attached to the face of the MTR-18 or PTR-18, the Angle Accessory provides a generous 1.38" (34.9 mm) of clamping surface.

Available in Two Sizes

The Angle Accessory is available in two sizes: small (6" or 152.4 mm long) and large (15" or 381 mm long). The small size is sold as a pair (two included), while the large size is sold individually. When used with the GRS-16 family, both angles are effective at extending the depth of your guide rail square but the larger size is better if you are working with edges that feature natural variation (e.g. live edges), and the added reference edge length makes your cuts even more accurate. When used with the MTR-18 or PTR-18, both sizes work great but the large size does provide more surface area for clamps.

The Angle Accessory includes two stainless steel socket head screws for each angle, making mounting to your guide rail or triangle easy.

The Angle Accessory is also compatible with the previous version GRS-16 and GRS-16 PE. If you are not sure if your model supports the Angle Accessory, look for the accessory mounting holes on either side of the GRS-16 label, measuring 100 mm apart on centers.
