The Narex Tapered Burnisher is designed to form and refresh the cutting burr on card and cabinet scrapers. Its hardened, polished shaft rolls a clean, consistent hook so your scrapers cut smoothly and leave a glassy, tearout-free surface. The tapered profile suits a wide range of scraper thicknesses, while the comfortable wooden handle provides secure control and precision during sharpening.

With a few firm passes at the correct angle, the burnisher turns a fine, even hook along the scraper’s edge. Hold the scraper in a vise, position the burnisher at roughly 5–10 degrees to the face, and apply light, steady pressure to roll the burr evenly. This creates the keen cutting edge that makes scrapers so effective for smoothing timber.
