The Narex Richter Cryogenic Bevel Edge Chisels embody the finest traditions of Czech toolmaking. Named after company founder Vaclav Richter, these premium chisels represent the highest standard of precision, materials and craftsmanship from Narex. Balanced in the hand and tuned for accuracy, they make light work of dovetails, paring and fine joinery. Edge geometry and cryogenic treatment are refined for keen sharpness, long-lasting durability and effortless control.

Each blade is forged from high-quality Cr-V steel, hardened, cryogenically treated and tempered to at least 62 HRC. The cryogenic process cools the steel to −190°C, completing the transformation of austenite into martensite for increased hardness, toughness and wear resistance. The result is a chisel that holds a razor-sharp edge longer and delivers clean, confident cuts across hardwoods and softwoods alike.

The blades are finely ground and polished with ultra-thin side bevels for accessing tight dovetails and corners. Flat backs ensure easy sharpening and perfect alignment. Each chisel is fitted with a sanded and polished ash hardwood handle, finished with a solid stainless steel ferrule and cushioned with a leather washer for exceptional balance, strength and comfort. Supplied in a premium wooden case for protection and presentation.
