The Narex Richter Cryogenic Bevel Edge Chisels carry the hallmarks of fine Czech toolmaking. Named after company founder Vaclav Richter, this premium series represents the highest standard of Narex craftsmanship. Balanced in the hand and tuned for accuracy, each chisel excels in dovetails, paring and fine joinery work. Edge geometry and cryogenic heat treatment are perfected for exceptional sharpness, edge retention and control, giving you confidence on every cut.

Each blade is forged from high-quality Cr-V steel, hardened, cryogenically treated and tempered to at least 62 HRC. The cryogenic process cools the steel to −190°C, completing the transformation of austenite and significantly increasing both hardness and toughness. The result is a chisel that holds a razor-sharp edge longer, resists wear, and cuts cleanly through even the hardest timbers.

The finely ground and polished blades feature ultra-thin sides for reaching tight dovetails and corners, while the flat backs make sharpening straightforward. Each chisel is fitted with a sanded and polished ash handle capped with a solid stainless steel ferrule and cushioned with a leather washer, ensuring strength, comfort and balance during long bench sessions.
