The Narex Premium Firmer Gouge Chisels are built for smooth, controlled shaping. Each gouge tracks naturally through the grain, taking clean shavings while maintaining a crisp, durable edge. Designed for relief carving, hollowing and fine shaping, these gouges deliver exceptional control and balance, making them a reliable companion for both delicate and heavy carving work.

Each blade is forged from high-quality Cr-Mn steel, heat treated to 59 HRC for excellent edge retention and toughness. The blade tapers lengthwise for improved penetration and control, while the black oxide finish adds both protection and style. The ergonomic hornbeam handles are stained and polished, fitted with brass ferrules for strength and a comfortable, rounded grip that feels secure through changing grain and long carving sessions.
