Appearance

Rich deep red through to dark reddish brown. Commonly features interlocked grain, natural gum veins, and occasional growth rings.

Workability

Dense and heavy. Sharp tooling essential. May cause cutter blunting. Finishes very well with oils or waxes. Glues reliably with proper preparation.
