Which sort of pipe makes the best pipe clamps?

Okay, so you've got two choices for pipe clamps but we tend to have a clear preference ourselves - you either go with galvanised pipe like the type we offer above, or with black unocated pipe. We really don't recommend the latter even though it's a bit cheaper, because under normal workshop conditions we find it is completely unsuitable for a resilient, corrosion-free, tough and long lasting pipe clamp.
